Day 1 Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you will take a drive into the Manyara National Park making a brief stop for a walking tour at Mto Wa Mbu (pronounced OOM-tow-wa-OOM-boo), a village that’s now home to people from many different tribes from Tanzania. The area has been turned it into an oasis through Irrigation; it used to be just grazing land for the cattle of the nomadic Masai people. Visit with the locals as you tour the village and also try some of the local banana beer. After the tour continue to the park for a gammed. After lunch at a picnic site we proceed on another game drive before we return to our Lodge on perched on the escarpment.

Day 2 Lake Manyara National Park

The game in this petite park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see tree-climbing lions, which we may declare our day’s quest, being so thoroughly sated with the big herds of preceding parks. Manyara’s great shock of pink flamingos will also delight.

Day 3 Lake Manyara - Arusha

Breakfast at your lodge, and then depart by road back to Arusha.
